Missouri Sets New Monthly Cannabis Sales Record

Missouri’s combined medical and adult-use cannabis sales set a new record in May at $135.07 million, according to a Greenway Magazine report.

The total included $124.24 million in adult-use and $10.83 million in medical cannabis sales. The monthly totals also follow the state’s recent trend of growing adult-use sales alongside a declining medical market.

May also marked a new $4.36 million monthly record for the industry’s daily sales average.

Missouri launched its adult-use cannabis market in 2023, and the industry has so far achieved year-over-year growth.

Meanwhile, two licensed cultivators filed a class action lawsuit in April against 50 co-conspirators, contending that the state’s largest cannabis company, Good Day Farm, is part of a “cartel” that owns, controls, or manages an illegal number of Missouri’s retail cannabis licenses.

In May, a Kansas City-based individual filed another class action lawsuit on behalf of the state’s cannabis consumers, making similar claims.
