Florida’s Cannabis Retail Landscape Is Thriving
In anticipation of the outcome of Florida’s Measure 3, cannabis giants are racing to bolster their retail footprint in the Sunshine State.
Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Green Thumb Industries Inc. (CSE:GTII) (OTCQX:GTBIF) wrapped up April by kicking off medical cannabis sales at RISE Dispensary Wesley Chapel, its 16th retail location in Florida and 93rd nationwide. Located at 28053 Wesley Chapel Blvd., the new shop offers a diverse collection of cannabis products, including RYTHM premium flower and full spectrum vapes, Dogwalkers pre-rolls, Good Green flower and &Shine flower, pre-rolls, vapes and chews.
Another Chicago-based cannabis powerhouse, Verano Holdings Corp. (OTCQX:VRNOF), is expanding to Florida. This time, with its 75th Florida dispensary and 140th retail location nationwide. MÜV Haines City, located at 127 U.S. Highway 17 92 W, launched medical marijuana sales on Friday, May 10.
Trulieve Cannabis Corp. (CSE:TRUL) (OTCQX:TCNNF) expanded in its home state with two new retail locations. Located at 11859 U.S. Hwy 1, the North Palm Beach medical cannabis shop had its grand opening celebration on April 26. Trulieve Stuart Kanner, located at 6600 South Kanner Highway will open its doors to customers on Friday, May 17. CEO Kim Rivers, who was a top speaker at several previous Benzinga cannabis events, said the company’s team is “proud to serve patients with Trulieve branded products through elevated customer experiences.”
