Legend Nancy Whiteman Steps Down As Wana Brands CEO, CMO Joe Hodas Will Take Over
Nancy Whiteman, the influential co-founder and CEO of Wana Brands, is resigning from her day-to-day duties at the company’s forefront by the end of May 2024, the company stated in a press release on Tuesday.
Whiteman’s departure marks a significant transition for Wana Brands, transforming from its inception in her kitchen in Boulder, Colorado fourteen years ago, to becoming a dominant force in the North American cannabis edibles market. Her next chapter will combine philanthropic efforts and her role on the Board of Managers for Canopy USA, owner of Wana Brands.
“While it is never easy for a founder to step away from the company they started, I’ve got full confidence that Joe and our Wana leadership team are well-positioned to continue Wana’s growth. I also look forward to staying connected through my role on the Canopy USA board of managers.” Whiteman said.
