Medical Cannabis Exports From Canada Doubled In First Half Of 2024
According to the latest figures from Health Canada, which includes data up to June 2024, the first six months of the year saw the highest volume of medical cannabis flower exports by some margin.
From January to June 2024, 67,475.28 kg of dried cannabis flower was exported from Canada, a 98% increase on the 34,115.13 kg sold in the first six months of 2023.
In March, one month ahead of the enactment of Germany’s CanG cannabis reform bill, Canada exported a record 14,015 kg.
This dipped to 8,330 kg in April, before growing to new records of 14,364 kg and 14,671 kg in May and June, respectively.
While the European boom continues to drive Canada’s export market forward at pace, its domestic medical cannabis market is less positive.
