Trump ‘Joins Millions Of Americans’ Who Support Rescheduling Cannabis: Weed Industry Responds To Former Pres’ News

So far, there has been no news from VP Kamala Harris and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, but the cannabis industry was quick to respond on Monday to the breaking news that Donald Trump has come out in support of federally rescheduling cannabis, legalizing adult-use marijuana in Florida and passing the SAFE Banking Act.

“Reclassifying cannabis would mark a historic swift away from the nation’s failed drug war. Cannabis never belonged on Schedule I, and the drug’s low abuse potential and proven medical use warrant a Schedule III designation if not outright descheduling,” said David Culver, senior vice president of public affairs at the US Cannabis Council.
