The state Senate passed a bill scaling down current employment protections for people who consume cannabis legally while off work. The measure that was approved Wednesday and sent to the Assembly for consideration removes protections for sworn law enforcement positions that involve certain duties, reported Marijuana Moment.
Alaska: To Establish Task Force To Get Ready For Psychedelics Therapies
The Alaska Legislature recently passed a bill to establish a psychedelic medicine task force to help the state prepare for likely federal legalization of psychedelic therapies, reported the Alaska Republic. The main sponsor of the House version of the bill, Rep. Jennie Armstrong (D), said that the task force doesn’t offer either a positive or a negative stance on psychedelic therapies, but that studies with MDMA as a treatment of PTSD show a lot of promise.
